When the temperatures start to cool down, the festival calendar starts to heat up in Georgia, and communities all over the state celebrate the Autumn season. Heres a list of the best Fall Festivals in the Metro Atlanta Area:


  • Yellow Daisy Festival, Stone Mountain- Sept 5th-Sept 8th The 56th years for this festival, named for the yellow flowers that bloom in September on the mountain's hiking trails, bring together hundreds of artisans from all over the country selling handmade pottery, paintings, jewelry an more

  • Oktoberfest, Helen Sept 5th-Oct 27th Oktoberfest celebrations have been going on for more than 50 years, involving multiple weeks of traditional dancing, food, and of course, beer from September through October

  • Dragon Boat Festival, Lake Lanier Sept 7th Cheer on more than 50 teams as they compete with their boats, and enjoy a wide variety of Chinese artisans & performances.

  • Atlanta Food & Wine Festival, Atlanta- Sept 12th-Sept 15th The four-day event showcases more than 200 chefs, sommeliers, mixologists and industry insiders. The event, held in various locations throughout the city, including Historic Fourth Ward Park near Ponce City Market, is an adults-only event

  • Buckhead Fine Arts Festival, Buckhead- Sept 21th-Sept 22th Featuring 100+ painters, photographers, sculptors, glass artists and more, along with artist demonstrations and live music

  • Duluth Fall Festival, Duluth Sept 28th-sept 29th Named one of the Best Fall Festivals in the Country the Duluth Fall Festival features more than 180 local and regional arts and crafts vendors. Shop for everything from paintings and photographs, wood crafts, pottery and glassware, furniture, floral arrangements and decorative accessories, baskets, adult and children’s clothing, doll clothes and toys, jewelry, candles, soap and more.

  • Chalktoberfest, Marietta Oct 12-13 An annual Chalk Art and Craft Beer Festival. Enjoy the afternoon sampling craft beers, live music from local artists, watching professional Chalk Artists chalk the streets and eating great food at the beautiful downtown square.

  • GA Apple Festival, EllijayOct 12-13, Oct 19th-20th People from all over the country flock to this North Georgia town for two exciting fall weekends. Vendors offering food, art & crafts, a parade and classic car show and of course, all things apples.
